Denver CO, 2009

As the sun sets in Denver, a projected sun rises on a large building downtown. The real-time projection continues throughout the night and sets as the actual sunrises. When an actual eclipse occurs, one is rendered into the projection concurrently. This unique light mural is entirely solar powered. The solar array installed for SUNLIGHT powers both the installation and the entire building it rests on. SUNLIGHT is a unique cultural attraction that operates as spectacle, solar demonstration and public artwork. It provides the City of Denver with a symbol of their efforts to become a national hub of solar energy generation.
